Pros

Everyone I worked with at Platform Science were great people, from direct (middle) managers, to team members, to support staff. Teamwork was highly valued and no one was off-limits when I had a question about a different team's product. I worked with the customer support staff quite a bit, and I want to give a special shout out there; every one of them was knowledgable, communicative, and easy to work with. We remained work from home long after many companies forced RTO, but maintained a local office for anyone who preferred to come in.

Cons

It felt like we (ICs and managers both) were being blindsided by organizational shift and changes of direction all the time. There was little visibility into the company as a whole in later years. And no one was safe from re-org casualties / layoffs. We lost the startup culture pretty quickly, and while the people kept it an enjoyable place to work, the company stopped supporting that culture.

Pros

- I was there for a little under three years. I worked really hard, and it ended up being an overall great experience for me. I firmly believe that it is a great place to work, but only if you put in a good honest days work everyday. (Nothing extreme, but an honest 40hours/week) - All of the things they are trying to do make it really exciting if you buy into the vision. (I was in office so I got the most out of it) - It honestly pays really well for a startup. You're not getting AI startup money, but you're very well compensated compared to most equivalent roles in other startups. - Their leadership knows how to steer the course and the overall trajectory of the company was on a exciting and steep upward path when I left. (I had to leave due to personal reasons) - It is remote and everyone at the company is very laid back and cool to work with. You have to attend your mandatory meetings, but you get to work whenever you want outside of that as long as you deliver. - There are a lot of impressive and smart people there (former Harvard grads and Qualcomm engineers) so it is a great place to network and learn in general.

Cons

- It is a startup so you have to deal with the common pains of a fast paced environments (roadmap switches, tight deadlines), but you get that in any startup that is worthwhile being at.
