Pros

Most of the upper management are so unbelievably incompetent they have no idea what their staff are doing, so you could probably just surf by doing absolutely nothing as long as you had some good excuses. Also no one understands any of the systems so it doesn't matter of you aren't qualified or even literate, no one is going to notice

Cons

Platform recently announced they were moving to a banded salary system, to great rejoicing from staff who had been trapped under a glass ceiling for years. We were told all jobs would be assessed and we would then be assigned to bands. It wasn't until after this had taken place we were told that A. This wasn't pay bands, it was a salary restructuring and bands would never move again, even if you worked there forever. This was raised at our laughably powerless employee forum (where we're invited to air our grievances and then get told to shut up and like it because otherwise they can replace us) and the response was "well, we can always find someone else to do your job just as well - loyalty and hard work is meaningless, you're a wage slave to us and nothing more. We don't care if you die in this place." I'm paraphrasing slightly but regardless... Of course, extremely senior management walked away with massive pay rises as a result of this exercise, while everyone below them paid for it. I cannot think of a more offensively money grabbing, vile, self centred, incompetent, hateful pit of a place to work. Don't expect it to be Platform long though - every time they get some bad press they merge and pretend the old organisation doesn't exist, just check the reviews on here for Waterloo Housing if you don't believe me

Pros

Regular pay wage and hours

Cons

After 24 years of service, it is deeply disappointing to say that there has been little to no opportunity for career advancement within this organisation. Loyalty, experience, and dedication to residents appear to count for very little when it comes to promotion opportunities. Senior management changes constantly, creating instability and a lack of clear direction. Each new management team seems disconnected from both frontline staff and the residents we are supposed to care for. There is little consistency, poor communication, and very little genuine concern shown for the wellbeing of residents or long-serving employees. Unfortunately, promotions do not appear to be based on experience, hard work, or capability. Advancement seems heavily influenced by personal friendships with management or whether individuals fit into current diversity and inclusion targets. This has created low morale among experienced staff who feel overlooked despite years of commitment and service.

Pros

1.Working from the office can be fun. 2.There is a little flexibility with work and life balance. 3. There are some good people who have worked here for years especially the front line workers 4. waiting for retirement

Cons

1. The place has gone sad after the takeover. Waterloo took over Fortis and all the Fortis directors left the ship to sink within a week. 2. I think Platform Housing is systematically sexist. Woman are just appointed jobs with high positions here. Working class men do all the jobs that no other wants to do, ensuring that they have very little power 3. Promotion is limited depending on who you know or whether you fit the Platform Diversity and Inclusion criteria 4. The tenants and non management workers are ignored and treated poorly. Its the way Platform do things here
