Pros

You do get great sales experience. The possibility to have full benefits, and the hours are not bad at all.

Cons

make you do pushy sales, and annoy customers. Even if you are top sales in the company they are still all about cliques. As long as you are best friends with the manager directly above you, you will be fine, and do great in the company. I did my best, my numbers and customer reviews said so. The employees below we were awful. I did my best to work WITH them when cleaning or changing lamps. They still thought they were the best at it all. Children. Management will also move you around all over the city. I lived next to a location, yet had to work at the furthest one from me, in the district.

Pros

Great sales experience Really awesome starter job to get into sales/marketing and management If you stay here for a while, it will look really good on your resume especially because you get promoted quickly based on how well your sales are. You learn an incredible amount like customer service and sales

Cons

Terrible higher management like the district and regional managers. They are selfish and only care about how they look. They are not family oriented so it makes it difficult if you have children or a life in general. Even when you are not at work, expect constant calls from your store. The scheduling is terrible. I tried going to school while being an assistant and I literally had no time for studying. There have been many times that the GM only schedules one person during busy season. Many staff members and I have cried countless times during and after work due to the amount of stress and overwhelming amount of work that is expected of an employee... and higher management cares less as long as the store makes money and as long as they don't look bad to corporate. I feel like I am ALWAYS at work and I'm ALWAYS tired. The District and Regional managers belittle your character, are super unforgiving, and literally scare you when you see that they are visiting your store. That definitely should not be the case.
