Pros

Where do I begin? This place is a well-oiled machine, led by having a clear vision for the company, their clients, and their work. They have the guts and the gusto to pitch really daring ideas. They proactively encourage personal development, relationship building, and weirdness. Spending all day every day with these people is a delight. Best management I've ever worked for. Everyone is quirky, compassionate, creative, and super talented. They take their time finding the right culture fit in new hires and it pays off. Not to mention, the office and location are to die for. Artistic oddities are hanging from the rafters (literally, in some cases), and we're right on a big beautiful lake. Madison is a slice of heaven.

Cons

If you want to park nearby you will need to pay for a spot (downtown parking, no big surprise). Most people live close enough to bike though.

Pros

It was a great opportunity to learn and learn quickly. I was working on research projects for several clients and helped create marketing strategies.

Cons

This is not a position in which you are given a lot of direction or instruction. It's expected that you think critically which can be overwhelming as an intern if you're not prepared to do the work.

Pros

-Very cool office space, great location by the lake

Cons

During my time as an intern, I never got to sit in on a single meeting. This meant I would do work on a project, receive feedback, and then never get to see what happened to the project afterwards. I learned next-to-nothing because of this and nobody took any time to teach me a single thing. It is hard to feel like a part of the team or get to know anybody when you are completely excluded from meetings. I would have loved to have simply been a fly on the wall in client meetings in order to learn through observation, but that was never an option. I was also disappointed that there was no opportunity to provide feedback at the end of my internship. All my prior internships had involved at least some sort of conversation, exit interview or survey that allowed me to share my thoughts. I found it unprofessional that this was never discussed nor offered to me. I will also add that the nature of my work felt very administrative and menial -- sometimes it felt like I was just being given the grunt work that nobody else wanted to do/had time to do.
