Owner, when motivated can treat his employees well. Schedule is very flexible with the exception of Friday to Sunday. You sometimes get perks and can do escape rooms all over the county for free. Again if the owner is motivated.
Cons
Since hours are fluid, you will be on call and must drop what you are doing to drive back to work. On many occasions I would have to leave mid meal or while in personal engagements to accommodate last second bookings. The owner has shall we say, questionable views. And while he doesn’t force it on his staff, he will be vocal about them. If you are sensitive to topics about racism, sexism, the word retarded, and any religion outside of Christianity, this job may not be for you. You will be in a group text and you will be OBLIGATED to answer. Yes even on your days off. He refuses to abide by safe COVID practices and routinely gives false names and titles to everyone who meets him. This job was a blast, but the owner/general manager was a very hard pill to swallow.
