Pros
Well-established homeoffice, great and talented colleagues, inspiring mission.
Cons
After two years of working for Pixsy, my feelings upon leaving are very mixed. I have started working there excited about the mission as well as great and talented colleagues in the team. Unfortunately, the style of leadership is based on dishonesty and manipulation and during the last year things have significantly turned to worse. The company culture is toxic, with favoritism from the side of the CEO creating a sense of unfairness and resentment among employees. There is a constant pressure to overperform without providing the necessary support, together with the lack of transparency leading to burnout and stress among the team. Despite promises of career growth, opportunities for advancement or salary raise are virtually non-existent. Most importantly however, the company management showed a blatant disregard for labor laws in multiple instances, creating an uncomfortable and psychologically unsafe workplace for everyone. Unfortunately, the workplace is also not secured against harassment and abuse. As a result, one deals with copyright infringers as a part of the role in everyday conversations full of negativity and stress and in the same time one can fear of losing the job with the start of each new month if the unrealistic finantial targets are not met. This is not sustainable nor healthy mindset for a long term. In conclusion, while I appreciate the skills, experiences and human connections gained during my time at Pixsy, I cannot recommend it as a positive workplace due to its failure to create supportive and respectful work environment.
