Pros
- A nice mission - Most employees are friendly and talented - OK salary - The stretching time once a day with coworkers
Cons
- Your first surprise on day one is that you have to bring and work with your personal laptop, without even asking for your consent. This is not only lame but also extremely cheap. - Unexperienced upper management hiding a lack of knowledge behind questionable attitudes. Psychological pressure, implied threats, constant reminder of how much you are paid, etc... - Excessively controlling management: no other way but the boss way. This makes it near to impossible to try things. - Priorities and tasks are changing every week, making it impossible to do something consistent. - Weird requests based on nothing valuable like data or analysis. Adding the words we NEED this in capital letters seems to strangely justify those demands (e.g. - I need the moon for tomorrow - Sure, why? - We NEED this) - Incredibly short deadlines for huge projects (e.g. plan and create a rocket ship in 10 days) - A toxic finger-pointing culture - Constant tensions between managers - Very strict for a startup - No table to eat in the office - Team events where you basically starve
