Pixel Studio Productions Response
11yI would like to start this response by stating you are not a photographer. Taking photography classes and buying a camera doesn’t make you one. If you were then you wouldn’t be working as a framer at Michael’s getting paid $9 an hour. We gave you a chance by bringing you on to our team to learn from other professionals. You approached every photo shoot with a bad attitude and refused to take direction. We have a certain style to our product which you didn’t want to learn. As for "looking over your shoulder" while you were on an assignment; that was because you were not following any instructions. Simple instructions like using the flash, going up to people at events and taking their picture, and acting professionally were not followed. You were paid $20 an hour during training. The gigs I sent you to were free therefore I lost money by paying you but I didn’t mind because I wanted you to become a better photographer. No one forced you to drive the owner around, you agreed to do it and were paid for it right then and there. You purposely did not take any of the shots you were instructed to and even stated that you didn’t. You expected us to mail you the check when you actually worked next door at Michael’s. It is not your concern what we charge our clients, we have standardized pricing and we charge the same amount that others in our field charge. We gave you a great opportunity to work with talented photographers and learn from us and you chose not to learn. You also mentioned that I simply fixed a photo by adding a filter which is the same as complaining about a mechanic who replaces a part in your car in a few minutes. It’s skill that you pay for, not the time spent.
