Pros

Flexible schedule, lots of choice in what you work on and your priorities. Helpful team with goals to further education. I love the level of ownership I have in my work and the ability to just grow and expand how I see fit.

Cons

VERY Open-ended. You need a lot of personal drive and motivation to do this stuff: no one will hold your hand. If you're not creative, this isn't for you.

Pros

- Daily 1:1 training with a senior-level engineer - Many pair-programming opportunities with a variety of engineers - Ability to bounce ideas back-and-forth with senior-level management, even as a junior-level engineer - Creative freedom over story-implementation - (I also like how they frame stories as 'user stories' ) - Work from home, and can choose your own hours to an extent - Competitive hourly rate (they even took into consideration the fact that I live in the most expensive state when working out my hourly rate, which was awesome)

Cons

The fact that I was hired as a contractor was the reason why I later accepted an offer at a different company, which was a full-time employee software engineer position with excellent benefits.
