Pros

No micromanagement. If they trust you to do a job, you won't have to worry about hearing from a boss for a long time. The company doesn't micromanage your time. Just get to the location on time, do the work, and leave. After that, the time is up to you. You'll learn a lot in a short amount of time. A year's experience with some of the stuff we did, will get you a job elsewhere.

Cons

They admit that there isn't much room for advancement. Work is 100% travel. You're considered a subcontractor to avoid the protections of an employee. You won't get benefits. Even though you're a subcontractor, you'll be called completely out of the blue at midnight to go to a job that's 4 hours away and be expected to be there at 6am. They expect you to be on-call unpaid if you don't have any scheduled jobs. They have a habit of getting rid of people by simply phasing them out. They'll just no longer put you on the schedule or return your calls or texts. It could be for a variety of reasons. For me I just got an A+ review from a client, they said I'll get more work in two weeks, then they didn't schedule me for 6 months.

Pros

Paycheck on time, not bad paycheck Before taxes and expenses, some Virginia work sites are nice.

Cons

Never gone past a 90-day employment promise, paid a lot in self-employment taxes, minimal independence, etc.
