I love working in home care it's very rewarding work. All my patients were amazing sweet elderly people the staff I interacted and dealt with was nice efficient and knowledgeable Great work environment majority of the time I only had one patient I didn't want to go back and it wasn't the patient so much as it was his home I only worked 3 hours for him and spent most that 3 hours cleaning just the kitchen and bathroom it was unsanitary and probably unhealthy for the patient but I cleaned as much as I could and told the company I wouldn't go back there and they understood and said ok extremely flexible hours you are an considered an independent contractor decent pay honestly not a bad company to work for

They call and ask you to work extra hours with different patients multiple times a week especially if you've said yes before. They could pay better but it's not horrible

Can work from home, flexible, work closely with patients and family.

Micromanagement, chaotic, lack of consideration from upper management, have to use your own vehicle with no gas card and very little reimbursed back. Too much wear and tear on own vehicle. Some patient homes were in bad areas and you have to see them alone.
