Pros

Since joining Pinewood Springs in November, I’ve truly felt welcomed and supported every step of the way. Transitioning into psychiatric nursing can be a big shift, but the team here made that process smooth by providing an extended, thoughtful orientation to ensure I felt confident and prepared in my role. What stands out the most is the culture. This is a team that genuinely works together supporting one another, stepping in when needed, and creating a positive, collaborative environment every day. There’s something incredibly rewarding about leaving at the end of your shift knowing you made a difference. In psychiatric care, that impact is real and meaningful. Pinewood is full of like-minded individuals who are here for the right reasons… to help people. That shared purpose makes all the difference. On top of that, there are strong opportunities for growth, including tuition reimbursement programs like RN to BSN with no work commitment, which shows a true investment in employees and their future. If you’re looking for a place where teamwork matters, your work has purpose, and you’re supported in growing your career, this is it!

Cons

There are days that can be fast-paced and unpredictable, which comes with the nature of psychiatric care. The upside is that you’re never alone. Teamwork here is real, and people step in to support each other.

Pros

I enjoy the direct care staff I work with.

Cons

This is one of the scummiest for profit ran mental health places I've ever seen. Continuously woefully understaffed, low pay, I've seen experienced Technicians get hurt on a regular basis and management treat them horriblly. Very fake leadership and a new CEO that's straight out of the Disney villain library. I'm glad I'm out of there.
