Pros

The only pros that come with this job is that you get paid weekly.

Cons

-Poor choice in management; most of the people who hold management roles lack interpersonal, critical thinking, or leadership skills, and it SHOWS. These are people who show up for the paycheck and disregard any concerns or worries that their fellow team members might have. This has resulted in a low morale and respect amongst everyone who actually gets the work done. -Pay rates and the talk of raises are complete turn off for this company. This is a subject that is promised to be spoken about when it is asked about, but is quickly swept under the rug. Many of the original workers that helped build this start up company from the ground up have not even received their yearly review. When there is a review I guarantee it will be set up in a manner where getting a promotion or raise will be difficult. Ex.: "We appreciate your interest, but we will be taking a different route, we are excited to see what else you will be able to do here!" Asides from that, their current pay rate doesn't even help with the current inflation rate and cost of living costs Denver has skyrocketed to. -No room to grow. No future. Here you are here for one thing and one thing only, to be another cog in this machine. You will not be valued as an employee here, thus the high turnover rate. This company does not promote from within. This is place is only good if you are looking to make a quick and easy buck and bounce. This is why the culture here is dying. -The main goal of this company is to sell to another entity. While Alexey, the CEO of Pinemelon has been successful in starting and cementing his businesses in his country of Kazakhstan, (Arbuz.biz, Ticketon.kz, and Aviata.kz) the rules work differently in the US where capitalism reigns and hundreds of thousands of similar companies have saturated the market, with identical goals. The company has fallen short of its predicted outcomes and has to constantly promote weekly promotions in order to attract new customers and hopefully keep their loyal customer base.

Hello, thank you for your feedback-we have a merit increase and annual review process, and we are proud to be a leader in pay in the Denver area. We are proud of our learning and development opportunities for our internal team mates, and actively cultivating collaborative efforts including safety, local, and culture committees to give additional opportunities to our teammates. We also have below average turnover rates for our industry, and are proud of our team mates and their dedication. As we approach our 2 year anniversary next April, we have implemented several changes over the first year, including an open door communication policy, and have been diligently working on putting processes and SOP's in place to help provide consistency and direction as we grow. We have also hired roles in leadership that we have never had before to help further provide that support as we grow, and are proud of what they are putting in place and how they are growing our team. Our goals are proudly posted on our website, Pinemelon.com.

Pros

Good food and discount code as employee. Some great people on the floor to work with. Generally mindless easy work for a part time job for some extra cash. Management can be flexible with a schedule however they will take as much as you give time wise.

Cons

Job security is not strong here mass lay offs twice in the past 2 months. New COO for every season. Timed lunches + making performance metrics for every task are a bit tyrannical big brother 1984 type of feel. Getting laid off mid shift a day before my last day was a great move by HR, solely by HR my manager was unaware and upset. Best way to make it through any mass layoffs seemed to be by keeping your head down and mouth shut if you can. It seemed that those who spoke up about any last minute announcements that would effect them would not be around much longer or get fired for small mishaps. Loud terrible music over loudspeakers half the time. Slipknot and Korn suck.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your recognition of the benefits like the employee discount and the great people you worked with. We're glad that you found the work straightforward and flexible for a part-time position. We would like to clarify that all breaks, including lunch breaks, are provided in accordance with state law. Regarding your mention of layoffs, it's important to note that resignations are not the same as layoffs. While we have made difficult decisions regarding staffing, we have not had mass layoffs every few weeks in the last few months. We take claims like this seriously, and we are committed to ensuring accurate information is shared. Additionally, we have had only two COOs in our company's history, not multiple changes as implied. We work hard to ensure that leadership transitions are smooth and well-communicated. We also have a zero-tolerance policy for retaliation, and we want to address your concern about employees speaking up and then being let go. While employment decisions cannot be discussed in detail due to privacy laws, we want to make it clear that any claims of employees being fired for using our open-door policy or voicing concerns are false. We encourage all team members to use the open-door policy, and we take all feedback seriously, with a focus on fostering a positive and supportive environment. Regarding performance metrics, we want to clarify that they have been communicated as flexible and are designed to help us determine efficiencies and improve overall processes. We aim to foster a culture of collaboration and support, and we are committed to refining these metrics as needed based on teammate feedback to ensure they are fair and contribute positively to the workplace in a way that focuses on continuous improvement. As for the music selection, we strive to play a variety of music that is chosen by our teammates to ensure the atmosphere is enjoyable and diverse for everyone. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us grow and improve. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
