Pros
Cheap piercings Great team of people that are easy to get along with
Cons
Being thrown in the deep end. Hard. Took advantage of a bunch of young and passionate workers and underpaid from what was advertised. Advised that I was inexperienced and hadn’t pierced before upon starting but was keen to learn, management then decided to make me a manager via a “coin toss strategy” with another co worker whom I had befriended in that few weeks as we were both casuals, then made us pick a hand to see which one should run the shop (we were both again apprentices of only a few weeks) Hardly any training provided and when you ask for more for you and your team, you get told that only you can get it because it’s cheaper to send you rather than a team, however, the team are all apprentices who do not know what they are doing and need the training just as much as you. Asking for help will get you told that you need more independence, then when you try to be more independent you get told to contact more. Normal kinds of technical issues around the store are not fixed and when advising management their text back is simply “not good” or “lets worry about that later” Sadly all the piercers/other managers who work here don’t deserve to be treated like this, but this particular owner likes to take advantage of passionate people who want to learn and throws them in the deep end without guidance, training, support or the pay advertised in the original role. When you advise upper management you have personal things going on such as a panic attack you get asked to describe what that’s like for you Upper management/owner likes to try to pin people against each other for no reason what so ever Unfortunately the people who are there do not deserve it at all. They are all wonderful and hardworking passionate piercers. I hope to see a good review on here one day about this particular owner but I highly doubt it based on others opinions before and after me.
