Picture Motion Response
7yDear Campaign Coordinator - I’m so sorry to hear you weren’t supported. Truly. It’s the worst feeling to feel abandoned and on your own. Its emotionally draining and leads to bad work results. I’m sorry, and this shouldn’t have happened. We tried to have checks and balances in place, and I’m sorry they failed you. We check in with our managers (aka your direct report) every Monday. And in our all hands Friday meetings we always create space for asking for help. If you raised your hand and asked for help to anyone, I am so sorry we all missed it. Alas, it’s a great lesson to me that we must try to find even more ways to create space to make it easier for you to ask for help.
Regarding the “failing project,” oh dear I can’t imagine which one that is. No client or film we take on would never be considered a “failure” at the get go. It’s only a failure if we give up on it. And we don’t give up. So I’m sad for our client that you saw it that way. But again this is a learning moment for us to work closer with our coordinators so you and they understanding success metrics, are equipped to better handle challenging work, can find their voice in times of struggle and know how to manage their self care so that no one cries unknowingly in the bathroom daily.
Wishing you happiness in your next position. - Christie
