Pros

As a Social Media Manager at Pickyourtrail, I've had an overwhelmingly positive experience working with this travel tech company. The company culture is genuinely collaborative and supportive - leadership is approachable and values creative input from the social media team. There's real autonomy in developing content strategies and campaigns, which has allowed me to grow professionally and experiment with different approaches to engage our travel-loving audience. The work itself is exciting since we're promoting incredible travel experiences and destinations. It never feels monotonous when you're crafting content around exotic locations and helping people plan their dream trips. The company provides good resources and tools for content creation, and there's a clear understanding of how social media fits into the broader marketing strategy. Work-life balance is solid - management respects boundaries and doesn't expect constant after-hours engagement, which can be rare in social media roles. The team is diverse and brings different perspectives that enhance our content. Career development opportunities exist, with leadership open to discussing growth paths and skill development. Compensation is competitive for the Indian market, and the benefits package is reasonable. The office environment (when not remote) is modern and comfortable.

Cons

Like many growing companies, there can be occasional unclear priorities when multiple campaigns are running simultaneously. Sometimes quick pivots are needed based on travel trends or external factors, which requires flexibility. The fast-paced nature of travel marketing means deadlines can be tight during peak booking seasons.

Pros

There used to be several. But the company has introduced so many nonsensical metrics that all of the joy in the work has gone away. Though despite everything one thing good is that company does payouts on time

Cons

HR and Senior Management blatantly lies to the employees faces and misguides them regarding their career growth. They give unreasonably high targets (4-6 lakhs of net revenue targets per month) and have no consideration for the employees work life balance. Management constantly gaslights employees and tells them this is how sales works. They have hopeless metrics such as talktime (which is now directly linked to salary), consumption caps, and more. It has become impossible to work properly now as they have shifted their priority from sales and turned us all into call center execs instead. Though if you don't hit your target two months they place you on a PIP. Extreme level of politics played especially in the Jaipur office. Official work timings are 10-7 but the team leaders will bully you into staying til 8 sometimes 9 pm and will shame you for not working after office. They just want you to sell your soul to their company with the CEO's bleak promise that in 4-5 years you will see the returns. Join if you want to waste away your youth just to get a salary of 20-25k per month. Rather you sell pani puri on the streets than work here.
