Pros
As with any company there will be some legitimately good and talented people that work there. This was no exception. The company's origin story and rebuild from the forced reformulation is pretty fascinating, but it ends there. That was a decade ago.
Cons
Senior leadership is all ego with few ideas. Long on machismo and short on actual talent. Sales meetings were an opportunity to punch down and skirt responsibility. You won't thrive by speaking to actual business problems if it's counter to the narrative they want to hear. Additionally, it's pretty shady on the front lines. Overall, the beer supplier game is played in the gray areas, but I was asked to do things on another level. Lots of under the table payments to wholesaler KAMS with influence to get distribution. That wouldn't need to happen if Phusion could still innovate. The only brand that will survive the next 2 years is Four Loko. HR is completely unprofessional. The interview process should have been a big red flag. Several interviews were canceled at the last minute when I had already taken time away from my current job. Shortly after I was hired, one of my new buyers (yes, not a Phusion employee) told me they were shown my resume prior to my hiring to get an opinion on my qualifications. So don't expect your private info to remain confidential. And when I finally quit, they shorted me thousands of dollars. If you have other options, don't work here. There's an abnormal amount of turnover in this position (even by beer business standards) for a reason. Please don't make the same mistake I did.
