Pros
Definitely working with animals and local shelters, Decent (ish) pay, and great work life balance depending on your manager. If you need time off, its usually no problem as long as you give notice.
Cons
Poor management. DMs do not care to hear employees out about problems. Health insurance is expensive and doesn't actually do anything. They don't like to give you your PTO even though you're supposed to get it. They would rather keep problematic employees who barely work over tenured employees who go above and beyond.
