Pros

There is no clock in system

Cons

I cannot understand how this company is still running or has anyway positive reviews. There is no training provided for product knowledge or how to deal with customers, which expects the employee to spend time out of hours researching information and training yourself. Perfect example of a minimum wage-minimum effort job. Unrealistic sales targets and basket size and when they're rarely met you get paid a measly bonus, huge pressure from management to try and achieve it. No security or guarantee over how many hours given, forced to stay behind after hours to cash up and not paid for it. Heavy lifting and strenuous work and expected to go above and beyond for customers, all for minimum wage. Horrendous treatment of animals, no healthcare or vets called for sick/dying animals. A complete autocratic style of management, any complaints made by employees are dismissed and suppressed. Huge employee turnover which highlights the awful, negative workplace culture. Due to lack of training, you usually just rely on reading packaging, googling and winging it when customers ask questions.

Pros

Coworkers were okay, they allowed my noise cancellation earbuds that I hid (I have a severe disability) but only for a month or so, the worker discount is alright.

Cons

No training given prior, managers breathe down your neck rather than actually work on the floor with you, no leaning or sitting, for 8 hours of work you only get a 30 minute break WHICH IS ILLEGAL, you’re expected to know and do everything beforehand (again, no training), you must always be doing something even though the place gets very slow and empty at times, you will be watched via cameras, you must greet and help every customer (if you miss one you will be reprimanded), ALWAYS let the managers do what they want otherwise they get mad, and all this with minimum pay
