Pros
I was an employee at Perspectives Corporation for nearly three months as a Direct Support Professional. Having recently moved to Rhode Island from Texas, with the intention of working with disabled peoples, I was legitimately excited to work for them. The group home I worked at, residents and my coworkers, were an amazing group of people. I've never had a job where I felt so fulfilled, so happy to be there. I felt as though I was making a real difference in the lives of our residents.
Cons
This company does not care about helping their residents achieve independence, even if the people at the group homes themselves do. The higher-ups do not communicate with the group homes on a regular basis and do not listen to the DSPs and site supervisors, who would know better about what their residents are going through.
