Pros

- Personio has great people who are dedicated to helping each other and having fun too. - I have made life long friends across my team and wider department that I'll forever cherish! - Lots of great non-monetary benefits - Loads of room to grow - Great office location in Dublin, right next to Train - my journey is always super fast, even from outside Dublin - Product is always being improved and developed

Cons

- Targets are totally unattainable - very few people have ever seen their full OTE and many have been fired or put on plans both pre and post probation - Our salary was only increased recently and now is at industry average - but still, the commission is impossible to earn with the current setup. - Generally, the managers that lead the SDR team are super inexperienced - learning as they go and incredibly prone to micro managing. They don't embody our culture and values or genuinely care about their team & the only one that did - left recently - quite telling!! - Inbound reps and outbound reps are treated like they are same level but paid very differently - lack of transparency. - When I interviewed, I was told that I would have the opportunity to work from abroad - and that I could "flex" between the office and home/remote - THIS IS NOT THE CASE! Every week we are pressured into going into the office, regardless of Covid situation - when we don't go in - passive aggressive remarks are made.

Hello, thank you for reaching out with this feedback. We take our employee experience very seriously and use feedback like this as an opportunity to continue to improve. We have recently implemented changes to our Sales targets and training based on similar feedback. This is aimed at helping each member of our teams succeed at each stage of their career at Personio. In addition, we’ve also recently revamped our salary bands so each role is paid at or above market, as well as creating a new leadership training program to ensure Personio’s leaders are enabled and empowered to enable and empower their teams. We’re sorry your experience did not match expectations and appreciate the feedback so we can continue to improve our culture and employee experience. If you’d like to speak in more detail, please reach out to me at cassandra.hoermann@personio.de!

Pros

Smart collaborative colleagues at the lower IC levels.

Cons

Personio is a dying company. The over-complexity of the company's technical systems is comical. Every attempt to simplify seems to lead to more complexity as things get half migrated and left to rot. Engineering leadership seems clueless and unable to present a clear plan-of-action to get things on track. Principal engineers force engineering time to be spent on silly projects that don't move the needle long-term. There is an overall aversion to taking the time to learn deeply about systems being used. Personio feels like a combination of all of the negatives of both a startup and a mature tech company, with none of the positives. The tech is half assed and duct taped together, but still somehow everything moves at a glacial pace. There is a mass shared delusion at the company that an IPO is in reach. No investor is going to buy this company's junk shares on the open market.
