Pros

My salary was reasonable. Apparently, I need to write at least five words. There really weren't that many pros.

Cons

Very badly managed. New clients offered services we didn't have the technology or resources to offer. Micro-managed from the US. Local management have practically zero discretion. Even minor decisions need to be approved by US committee (which may only meet every month or two). 1 for 2 replacement policy (ie. for every two people who leave they are only replacing one) so that there is an enormous amount of pressure on existing staff. Because getting replacement staff is so hard, management are too scared to get rid of anyone, even if they're incompetent because they won't be replaced. This means there are a lot of people there who should have been sacked for poor performance years ago. Serious cost cutting everywhere. No real investment in tech or upgrades for years -- all ancient. Even minor bug fixes can take years to go through the system. This company is so badly managed in the UK, I find it difficult to believe it's only incompetence. Can't help wondering if it's a managed 'wind down'.
