Pros

Perlick is a company with a legacy. It was fulfilling to be part of it and make a contribution to the continuing success from day to day business and its future. I was given many opportunities to advance in my 15 years of service. Started as an assembler in the factory and progressed to a Design Engineer position. This is a family owned business and the "family" aspect was part of the work environment and culture.

Cons

I think the only con I can think of (which really wasn't much of a big deal) was Perlick is a union shop. Some periods got tough working within the union as a assembler and also working on the side of the union. By no means do I have any answers. I got to be part of both sides and there were good pros and cons to each.
