Pros

They used to send you to Barcelona 3 times a year if you were based in the US. This has been lowered to 1 because the company is broke. Good health insurance

Cons

If you are in sales I would highly suggest avoiding this company. This is the only job I have ever had that does not have a commission contract. They change the commission structure every few months so no one ever fully understands how they are paid out. They will find any excuse in the book to avoid paying you what you earn and since there is no contract, there is nothing you can do. There are also large pay gaps between employees in the same role. Some high performing SE’s are paid 20k less than new hires. I have seen a difference of 30k in base pay between SSE's. The company is set up to favor Barcelona employees. The US is responsible for most of their revenue yet they use this money for meal/gym reimbursements and parties for the Barcelona office. Employees in Europe get a substantial amount of holidays and vacation days. They take pretty much the entire month of August off. But as a US employee you are expected to pick up the slack and have your butt in your seat from 9-6. The company originally hired employees with the pretense of 1-2 in office days. They have since moved to 3. They are blaming their mass resignation (an entire sales team and manager left in the US - They have also lost several high performing employees to TravelBank in recent months) on return to office. People are leaving because they are not respected or paid properly. Not because of return to office. I saw their reply in another review stating “We currently have an annual performance review for all employees to recognize performance and behavior which is reflected through pay appraisals as well as promotions where managers get together as a community during our Calibration process to ensure that there is fairness and consistency”. There was not one pay raise during performance reviews across the entire US sales team. Even though the US brought in more than half of their total revenue we were told not one employee was “high performing” or worthy of a raise. They give everyone poor reviews to avoid paying them what they deserve because the company is out of money. Managers that fought for their team during “calibrations” were shut down. There is also a problem with lead distribution. Inbound leads are not handed out fairly. Some employees ended the quarter with 2million in leads while others ended with 4-5million. If you were not a favorite by upper management or the one remaining manager in the US you were often given small or unqualified leads and told eventually it would even itself out. They are heavily pushing outbound activity at the moment. I wouldn’t bother with outbounds because even if you are successful in signing them, the company will find an excuse not to pay you. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Hi there, thanks for sharing your thoughts, and we are sorry you didn’t feel able to raise these while you were a colleague within TK, either through your line manager, our bi-annual engagement survey, or to your HRBP. Feedback is hugely valuable, and we are committed to driving change, improving the employee experience, customer satisfaction, and TK success. We acknowledge that your perspective of TK isn’t particularly positive, and we’d like to share some information with you, as, unfortunately, there are some factual inaccuracies in your feedback. We’d like you to know these so that your understanding of what’s happening here is reflective of TK. The company remains financially stable and stands apart from others in the industry by not resorting to layoffs. In fact, they continue to expand their workforce, as evidenced by the ongoing hiring initiatives showcased on their website. It is inaccurate to claim that commissions are not awarded based on performance. Quite the contrary, the US team has witnessed numerous instances of over-achievers receiving well-deserved commissions. The company consistently fulfils its commitment to compensate employees with commission payouts upon customer rollouts. We benchmark our salaries against the market on a regular basis to ensure we are rewarding our teams fairly and equitably in the industry, using that benchmark during our yearly compensation review. We also hold internal performance and salary reviews to drive meritocracy in line with our performance philosophy. It is incorrect that no salary increases were offered in the US; for obvious reasons, we cannot share the details, but salary increases (and several promotions) have been offered in the US throughout 2023 to date. We have ‘get together’ budgets for all teams in all locations, as well as an annual summer party where our global teams get together, usually in Barcelona, to learn, connect, and celebrate our successes as a company At TK, we believe in the power of ‘in real life’. Our company mission is firmly rooted in this belief, and the way we work is aligned with that. All colleagues have the option of working 2 days at home, as well as a work-from-anywhere option for up to 4 weeks per year for all colleagues. Our commission scheme has evolved to focus on realised revenue; we are sure that everyone can agree that Sales targets and commissions are not feasible unless they drive revenue. The rollout of any evolution has included communication and training for all teams to understand how they are targeted. We encourage any colleagues to ask questions if targets and commissions are unclear. Leads are managed on a ‘round robin’ system and will be allocated based on distributing value equally amongst the team members to support their target achievement. We hope this shed’s some light on how we operate here at TK, and we wish you well in the future.

Cons

with many tech companies there are constant changes and needing to adapt to those changes. The company is relatively young so there are growing pains that come with that

They’re always adding new roles you can become after being in an entry-level role. -Product: One of the best products in the industry. I have not once felt like I have to overwork myself or continue my work at home, which is a night and day difference from my previous job! -Hybrid-Work: 3 days in-real-life, and 2 days remote. Also 20 work-from-anywhere days as they encourage us to travel. Compensation: Extremely good. Base salary is at industry standard. Commission is uncapped and targets are very attainable to receive a 100%+ commission check. -Culture is unmatched! Extremely friendly sales team always looking to help and coach others in sales. Perk is very straightforward in how they envision their culture/environment. -Yearly company trip to Barcelona, Spain! And chances to travel and work out of other offices.

Cons
