Pros

Most of the people that are employed here are amazing and genuinely great. There's a lot of talent that deserves to be elsewhere.

Cons

There was a lot wrong at the company, but one of the biggest issues was there was no where to go. Most of the department heads had been around since the Atari first came out, so once you were hired that was pretty much where you were staying. Any attempt to get a title change/promotion would be shot down or met with a ton of resistance, unless you were one of the higher ups who they were more than happy to throw "Senior" or "Director" in front of a title. But the worker bees, the middle of the totem pole and lower would see no such growth. There were also no opportunities for career advancement in other senses. Multiple times I had asked to take career advancement courses or asked them to pay for certification so I could add more capabilities to my already 17 other job responsibilities and I would be told to pay it out of my own pocket and then ask to have a portion of it POTENTIALLY reimbursed. Additionally, the bad eggs that were employed at the company were kept around for far too long. During my time I watched an executive pretty much verbally abuse every single employee that worked there. I know myself and other employees filed formal complaints, multiple times, all to be told that everyone knows they are an issue, but they've been around so long and it'd be a pain to look for someone to fill their position, so they kept them. This person continually opposed any idea that wasn't their own and as a result it directly hurt the company's success. Even citing that as a major reason to get rid of them wasn't enough, so we all suffered and so did the company's sales. The company's lack of leadership, laissez faire attitude, and environment led to it's own demise. The company was bought out by Turtle Beach, who cared even less about the employees and their skillsets and just laid off employees just to achieve a bottom line. Now, PDP is being torn apart, parted out and will eventually cease to exist.
