Pros

This school has a martial arts program and is highly focused on soccer and tennis. This school has a very tight nit team of teachers, who are very knowledgeable and highly competent. Many different schools around the state. This can be a good place to get experience teaching.

Cons

Students are not held accountable by upper Administration for misbehavior at some of the inner city schools. This leads to a chaotic classroom environment where the students get away with physical violence against other students, and against the teachers. The burden for the students misbehavior is laid almost completely on the teachers, which is why some of these schools have ridiculously high turn over rates among a lot of teachers. This means a lot of stress for the teacher, a loss of classroom instructional time missed as the students do their own thing more than listening to the classroom instructor. Pay is at the lowest threshold for teachers, the for profit status has more to do with the high level administration salaries. Because of the lack of support often when it comes to managing the behavior of disruptive and physically threatening students, your teacher reviews can be affected and not reflect your actual level of skill.

Pros

-Nothing was good about what this educational institution did to me.

Cons

I don’t even know how to express what I felt when I was involved in the social rejection I endured from the staff at this academy. I have a Masters Degree in Elementary of Education. I really wanted to give something back to the world and help children in a dire state. However this wasn’t the plan or opportunity I had when I was employed here at this school. At our annual meeting I was made fun of, laughed at and humiliated by the entire staff of Performance Academy. This was the worst feeling I have ever endure. I spotted what the staff was up to immediately. How could I not? I was educated on how groups of people preform. The staff shouted things at me and yelled in my face, that I was a liar after they attempted to lay me off due to days missed. Btw the days missed was due to a surgery I had. I requested time off but I was never given it. The day after getting off of the surgical bed I had to work. However fast forward. After being yelled at a person came an sat at the empty table I sat at. He asked me what my favorite show was. I asked myself why in the world is he fishing? So my answer was related to what they were doing. Unfortunately after surgery I was given a prescription for opioids in order to get better. because of this, the staff assumed that I was an addict. So I told them House. The procedure I had was on my hip, of which I needed a hip replacement for. Luckily the procedure was minor, because due to my age the medical board won’t except my replacement request due to my age. However what was done to me was terrible. I wouldn’t wish what was done to my worst enemy. The next day I was scheduled to go into work. I never called I also didn’t answer the telephone the first time when they called. As a result they called several times later on. Why? You may ask, because so many people who were put through what I was put through actually committed suicide. And yes, I did have suicidal ideation after being put through such and terrible experience. This was a terrible thing to endure.
