Experiences vary by management. I've had 3 good managers and a couple mid managers that cared more about admin stuff than actual work.
Also, as I'm being laid off due to a contract closure, they have a good package but our subs mostly have better packages and informed people about a week ahead of our dissemination of information. Still a fine package but we didn't hear hide nor hair until 48hrs prior contract cessation.
Another con: if you see you contract ending soon, take a week and secure a new job. They have a dozen reqs open with my title and they are no effort to move me, so its all self initiated if you want to move jobs internally. Our subs placed everyone without much input
8/10 of us moved internally or had a new job without issue but a couple of people got rough landings with contract end. It would be better to get formal notice of timeliness and benefits sooner. We got a fair package for the layoff but we learned about it very late.
