Pros

I have to admit when I left the Air Force after 26 years I was nervous and scared about the transition from military to civilian life. Peraton is my first job since retiring and I'm still here over 3yrs later. Working for Peraton felt almost like I went home, changed out of my uniform, into civilian clothes, and went back to work, with less stress. :-) The environment is still very military focused as we continue supporting our Warfighters. The people are fantastic. I love my fellow peers. I love the camaraderie among the teams not just within Peraton but with our government partners. Everyone is willing to help and share knowledge freely. Teams are always looking for good talent from folks with good attitudes. I also have to mention the 25 vacation days per year, annual bonuses, annual merit-based pay raises and 401K. We have frequent company appreciation events like breakfasts, lunches, movie night, sporting events, summer events, job fairs, holiday parties. The leadership at Peraton is actively engaged, inclusive, and available to help with whatever your needs might be. The recognition program is AWESOME! You can recognize your peers, folks from your own team, anyone you think is deserving of recognition. I have never seen anything like this. The points you earn onaward write-ups add up to small and large ticket items for claiming. It's really outstanding. There are so many opportunities for career growth it's insane! I have seen several Airmen that used to be under my supervision, leave the military, start in the lower tiers with Peraton, and work their way up into Lead management and Lead technical roles in short periods of time. If you're a hungry technician, you will grow quickly at Peraton. I'm proud to be part of such a great company and can't believe more people haven't heard of Peraton. SPREAD THE WORD...and join the rest of us in "Doing the Can't be Done!"

Cons

Unfortunately remote work is not available if you work at STRATCOM but to be honest, I think working from home is overrated. I get more work done, and in a timely manner, actively engaging with peers and customers who are on site. Plus human interaction is still a thing in life. There are no homelife distractions and you must disconnect from your cell phone and social media. I hardly see these as cons...

Pros

Peraton is a great company to work for. My boss built a huge Datacenter from the ground up. He is very helpful to everyone in our team.

Cons

Onboarding is slow, it takes longer than I expected.
