      Can make excellent money. Meet tons of contacts, and if you like customer service, you'll love it.

      Cons

      Once past store level management, the only thing that matters are numbers. People are constantly job threatened over very small things, even when the store is doing very well.

      Through my career I have learned a lot on the automotive industry.

      Corporate found a way to cut payroll by approximately $1k monthly to former assistant managers by eliminating the overtime associated with the position and eliminating the position , renamed it and lowered the hourly rate and put them under " commission ". Results...many guys looking for a new job cause with cost of living constantly increasing pay went down drastically plus most stores are understaffed but corporate keeps pushing for productivity, really bad work environment.
