Pros

They do have too many employee requirements.

Cons

There are several red flags to any potential Prime interested in partnering with this Company as well as any former DOD personnel accepting contract positions. We were a sub to a DOD contract that filled multiple positions around CONUS. PTP failed us in 3 areas: Its People. After the first year, the customer conducted a re-compete for a reason - contractor turnover. The quality of replacements was fueled by an inability to hire qualified people. The people running the Company are a Family that learn on the fly, who in several instances acted as if them doing their job to support us, was doing us a favor. They allow actions to go undone for weeks at time, especially with the review of our travel claims. When traveling during December the employee support comes to a near standstill. Their Technology. At the beginning of the contract we waited 30-45 days to get paid from expense reports by check (mail). Then after they automated the processes, it took 45-60 days. Our contract did not call for anything in the way of leveraging the Company’s technology. The managers we worked for showed no interest in understanding what we did. They were not knowledge managers. In fact, we never did goal or performance counseling. Our managers were not interested in developing us in any way. And none of us received annual performance raises.PTP told us that the contract was not structured for raises and they did not tell us this up front. Their processes. They struggled to coordinate with the Prime to get approval for overtime hours. Also, their pay system could only process pay claims on certain days per month exacerbating travel reimbursement.

People, Technology & Processes Response

While we regret that any member of our corporate family finds themselves in a frustrating and negative situation, we also embrace the opportunity to open a direct line of communication and address identified concerns. PTP, in order to minimize employee out-of-pocket expenses, purchases all airline tickets and pre-pays for hotel rooms and rental cars. For those employees who travel more than 25% of the time, we also issue them corporate credit cards for meals and other incidentals. Once an employee’s travel reimbursement claim meets Federal Travel Regulation compliance and is approved by the Government, they are paid within thirty days. While PTP does it’s best to inform employees on proper expense reimbursement submission requirements, we encourage them to immediately respond to requests for missing receipts or needed corrections to their expense claims in order to expedite the approval process and reimbursement. As a Service-disabled Veteran-owned Small Business, we recognize the contribution and value of our employees and appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter further. Please reach out to us at HR@ptp-llc.com.

Pros

I have been employed by PTP LLC for going on 5 years. I served in active duty and have worked for multiple Fortune 100 companies prior to joining PTP and I will say that the work environment and company culture at PTP LLC has been exceptional. The Owner/CEO Victor Buonamia, and the Executive team has a strong people-first approach, and it shows by the way they interact with and treat their employees. Everyone is professional, respectful, and supportive in your career progression. PTP has been very good to me and my family and are always looking for ways to increase morale and promote a family culture. 5 stars from me,

Cons

I don't have any cons to report.
