Pros

Decent pay Good benefits Decent chance to advance

Cons

There exists a definite clique in the dept. so if you work first shift it can make life impossible. If you are a young person with green hair and the “right” politics you will fit right in. But if you are a hard worker and older they will make up lies and run to the supervisor with it. It got so bad that I had to tell them to fire me. I worked in housekeeping prior to this and had great reviews and won an award for my great patient interaction with the children and their parents.

The work you and our research teams do every day touches patients and communities across the region and beyond. Thank you for being part of Penn State Health.

Pros

Mission-focused Some patients and employees are nice Good benefits

Cons

Crowded and Busy. In the cancer institute the lines for check-in went out the door and it seems like everyone forgets their manners in that place. Very little pay for dealing with so many angry patients
