Pros

I am a huge Penn State fan! We have a very inclusive benefits package- that is customizable for your specific needs (various tiers, family options, eye, dental, etc) Great experience- teaching hospital, level 1 trauma, level 4 NICU Union and non-Union options for employment.

Cons

Very large- so it can be difficult to track down the correct person for specific requests/responsibilities. IT is very overworked, very slow to process requests/access/resolve tickets. Sometimes you feel like a number since it is such a large institution. The union is not as strong as it could/should be. Many programs do not correspond with the various hospitals making our health network not fully inclusive.

Thank you for sharing your positive 5-star review and for the kind words about your colleagues. We're glad that comes through. As an academic health system, research is central to who we are. The work you and our research teams do every day touches patients and communities across the region and beyond. Thank you for being part of Penn State Health.

Pros

Mission-focused Some patients and employees are nice Good benefits

Cons

Crowded and Busy. In the cancer institute the lines for check-in went out the door and it seems like everyone forgets their manners in that place. Very little pay for dealing with so many angry patients
