Pros

Decent pay, fantastic and cheap benefits, 401k match up to 4%, wonderful coworkers, inclusivity, work from home, PTO, FTO (flex time off, unpaid), CTO (civic time off, paid, to support volunteering in the local community). Some additional benefits: charitable contributions match up, student loan forgiveness ($100 a month), tuition reimbursement if currently enrolled, free counseling/mental health support, and fertility support.

Cons

Peloton is not what it used to be. Leadership does not recognize good work anymore, internal communication between departments is nonexistent, and our third-party logistics partners are going to run this company into the ground. Member support is divided into three lines of business, hardware/software, order experience, and membership. I’m a hardware/software associate and we are responsible for taking care of way more than the other associates in member support yet we all make $19 an hour. The vast majority of hardware software calls are escalations due to the nature of our job so we just get yelled at all day with a little support or options for service recovery . We’re the only team that has to work directly with our failing third-party logistics partners who we never get answers from. Also if the members report something being wrong with their software, it’s extremely difficult to get that information in front of the software engineering team to fix. The system we have in place right now simply gets ignored and the issue is never addressed. PTO and FTO (flex time off, not paid) request are hardly ever approved in HWSW because we’re the busiest LOB. Internal mobility at this company is a complete joke and when you finally do move up into a higher role it’s an interim position, not a permanent one. Then they screw you over by cutting your contract short so you can’t use your past 5 months of hard work and experience to apply to the job on the next level because they require you to have been in your current role for 6 months before applying to something else. They’re currently completely screwing over our new Tempe location with our “shift bid” by making everyone now work 11:30-8 PM. Several associates have to now quit due to other life obligations because Peloton doesn’t care and won’t let them bid with the Plano location for shifts (who has 4-5 time options to choose from). Peloton simply does not care about their hourly associates anymore. If you’re a salaried associate on the “inside” everything is peachy, but if your hourly they just see you as another number that can be replaced . The only reason I’m still working at this company is because I cannot find a different company outside of Peloton to match their pay and benefits. Once I do, I’m out.
