Pros
For CNA/MHT positions, not much Pro to comment on. It will give you face to face interaction with people in emotional/mental health crisis, and give you a good foundation for clinical therapy and counseling in the future if you intend to get an LCSW, LPC, or other counseling degree and license.
Cons
The turnover rate here makes staff seem treated as inventory. Some staff may not warm up to new hires due to the "here today, gone tomorrow" pattern. There is no education about patient disorders and their diagnosis for helping CNA/MHTs learn more about mental health treatment.
