Pros

Met some great coworkers /nurses.

Cons

The recruiter lied. I'm an experienced ICU RN but burnt out on ICU. When I moved to Bellingham I tried to apply for an ED/ICU float position to change things up in hopes to manage my burnout. The recruiter called to tell me they had frozen that position indefinitely but had open ICU positions. I needed a job so I took it. Learned from several RNs in the ICU they were told the same thing when they had applied. Yet also met numerous new hires into the ICU/ED float position in the 2 years I was there. So if you have lots of ICU experience they will lie and push you into the ICU. They only hire non-ICU experienced nurses into the ED/ICU float position... Go figure. My burnout only got worse so I left all together.
