      Pros

      The pay, workload, and opportunities are good, particularly when compared to alternatives in long term care. Most jobs and units are unionized as well, which helps in terms of securing fair pay and schedules.

      Cons

      Lots of bureaucracy, i.e. staffing issues, patient admissions that are inappropriate for the specific unit. CNAs also are floated and low censused quite a bit, lots of shifts doing 1:1 sitting.
