Even though Payoneer promotes itself as a global company, the culture is strongly centered around its Israeli roots. In reality, it often feels like growth and leadership opportunities are mainly given to those who are Israeli or closely aligned with that background and political mindset. During a recent interview, I was even asked about the origin of my name — a question that seemed more about figuring out if I "fit in" than learning about my qualifications.
While the company highlights its international workforce, many of those employees seem to be there for appearance’s sake. People working inside the company can feel that real decisions and growth are influenced by a very specific cultural and political perspective.
