Pros

Location, security and certain co-worker relationships

Cons

Like majority of establishments, Payment Logistics works hard to maintain a stellar image. Once you cross that line from an outsider to internal, the illusion shatters all but immediately. It's a niche industry, outside of the technology aspect, primarily driven by establishing and maintaining relationships. Throughout my years with this company it still baffles me how unapologetic they were for failing to internally represent what was so externally fundamental for their continued survival. There remained a cloud of resentment and grudges between heads of departments that was all too apparent when became necessary to interact with each other. The office had an open floor layout. Every single department was side by side maxing out around roughly 30ft from each other. Clearly, these rifts caused ripple effects on all staff especially when ego filled screaming matches were had from one side of the floor to the other. There was one individual who was the primary source of all conflict. It is quite difficult to put into words exactly how volatile and menacing this individual was. She rarely ever treated her staff, let alone anyone else employed there, with an ounce of dignity. She would openly degrade and hamulate people in front of the entire company. This happened frequently. No one in a position of authority to put her in her place ever did. Yes, Human Resources and both the owners (during that time) sat within 10ft from where her desk was. Everyone witnessed these truly horrific events, yet willingly turned a blind eye every single time. It was astounding. Never in my life had I encountered an individual so devoid of human decency until Victoria; and Payment Logistics gave her free reign to inflict all the damage she wanted on others... for years. There was always an underlying level of disrespect that was continually allowed there. To this day I've never understood why. It was truly no surprise when the buyout was announced. The interpersonal relationship issues was only one of the many downfalls. There was the illogical spending habits, lack of recognition of exemplary staff, zero upward growth opportunities (despite what was preached). What really gets me is that Payment Logistics had, and still has, so much potential to be one of the greatest companies to work within. Yet they continued to make one horrible decision after another. It was COVID period that truly opened my eyes to how this company will never change. That period in time was a hit to establishments around the globe, yes. However, how everything was handled in this one, went against the very "values" of this company. I watched people who had unlimited potential and value get tossed aside while others who offered very little were kept on. If in the eye of a storm you're still not able to make logical business decisions in which will positively drive your business, then you never will. I lost all hope in this company after that. It has taken me a long time to write this review. I have to stay true to myself and remain honest, but it brings me no satisfaction in doing so. I'm not proud that I stuck around for as long as I did, but we all know the job market long after the lockdown was released was less than ideal. It's also a difficult thing to let go of the strong relationships you build with those in the trenches with you day in and day out. The one thing I will always cherish are the bonds that I made with certain individuals here. I can only hope that maybe Payment Logistics finally turned a leaf and are progressing positively. From the information I've been told however, that's not the case. This is a small glimpse into my experience with this company. Listen to your intuition and make the best decision for the life you want to lead.
