Pros

Paylocity has built a great payroll and HR system. I love working with clients and wow them wth the system. The company is always working to improve the system for clients AND employees. Development has created several tools for us which have made our job easier. Working remotely is awesome! I love that Paylocity will hire talent anywhere- not just limited to the areas they have offices. I love my 30 second commute.

Cons

Year End. As a payroll company, yes, December and January are busy months. But this year we went beyond busy to completely unmanageable. Every one on my team was stressed to the max and then some. We all worked late into the night every day and full days on weekends (without any extra pay) and still couldn't manage the workload. I would work hard to catch up over the weekend only to be given more clients on Monday to bring me back to where I started. Management doesn't listen when we tell them we are overwhelmed. It is truly hard to enjoy the holidays. There is no work life balance between November and January. This also is a complete disservice to our clients as we do not have enough time to properly set them up as we are so overwhelmed. It really felt like Paylocity chose money over customer service and employee satisfaction. Several ICs quit during this time and I am only imagine how many are prepping their resume.

Pros

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pay is slightly less than competitors but work life balance and culture make up for it.

Pros

Teammate relationships during difficult days.

Cons

Paying out executive bonuses and Sr leaders while mid-level and lower employees had their bonus removed and their stock options taken away. This company is the epitome of making the rich richer while allowing the employees who are busting their bottoms to drown without monetary compensation. It was heartbreaking for me to see my team unable to receive any bonus monies while our executives received millions even though the decision they made resulted in the stock price dropping by over $100.
