There was no support at the local level, no authority, the plant hardly ran, and the office manager was literally drinking on the job. Small business bought by a larger corporation that had no care for the place, which is likely why it is failing and closing. The sad part is that corporate management was not even capable of listening to those at the Tuscumbia site.
