Pros

I worked at Pauls Bakery for a period of time and had a mixed experience. While some co-workers were great and the job gave me valuable industry exposure, the overall environment was extremely demanding.

Cons

The workload was often unmanageable, with unrealistic expectations placed on an understaffed team. We were regularly pushed beyond our limits, and the introduction of a new manager only made things worse—several long-time employees left shortly after. There were constant meetings on top of the already heavy workload, which felt excessive and unproductive. Management also kept close tabs on emails, creating a stressful, micromanaged atmosphere. Unfortunately, compensation didn’t reflect the amount of work expected. Pay was low, especially considering the pressure and hours. This could be a good place for someone looking to gain quick experience, but be prepared for a very intense environment and minimal support.

Pros

Friendly customers Able to learn so much Ability to cross-train

Cons

They cross-train you in other areas to avoid hiring other people; management somewhat cares more about money than caring about their customers; the hours were changed halfway through employment
