Pros

I have worked at Patriot PAWS for over two years. I spent many years working for money and then I decided to work for passion and joined Patriot PAWS. Best decision I ever made. It really hurts my heart to read some of the scathing reviews by naysayers who obviously were not working at Patriot PAWS for the right reason. We are a non-profit, so you are not going to get rich here, but if you want to go home feeling good about what you are doing, this is the place for that. A couple of the negative reviews were obviously written by those that became disgruntled and decided to slam a great organization. Their comments are nothing short of libelous. Speak with the people that have been here for years and to our volunteers. Certainly you are always going to have some people that are not happy with any company. That's their right. Better yet, speak to the veterans who have received service dogs that have changed their lives. We do our best to ensure that those that sacrificed so much for our country will be able to regain their independence to some degree. We can't save the world, but we can make a start. I love this organization and can vouch that 80% of all donations/grants, etc. go toward our programs and change many lives.

Cons

Dogs, dogs and more dogs Dedicated people that want to make a difference Great family environment

Pros

Patriot Paws Service Dogs is a really meaningful place to work, especially if you care about helping veterans. The mission is inspiring, and the work feels rewarding. The organization is under new leadership right now, and it’s nice to see them taking steps to plan more strategically and think about how they can better serve veterans moving forward. There are a lot of passionate people here who truly want to make a difference.

Cons

Like a lot of fast-growing nonprofits, Patriot Paws is still working through some growing pains. Things are changing and evolving, and sometimes processes or communication aren’t as smooth as they could be yet. There’s still some adjustment happening as the organization grows and leadership works on building a stronger structure for the future.

Pros

The only "Pro" to working at Patriot PAWS Service Dogs is working around the dogs to lift your spirits when fellow employees and upper management constantly makes you feel worthless and useless. One or two volunteers are really great & intelligent people. They should get out of there will they still can.

Cons

There truly is nothing great about this "non-profit". If the public really saw the going ons and how management ran this shady sham of a charity, they would be outraged and horrified. Not only do they treat hard working employees like trash (it's literally a revolving door) but they also treat veterans waiting to get a dog on a popular vote on who gets a dog. They have the wool over everybody's eyes here. It's like high school at this place, if you are not in the "in crowd" you are out, and they will make it known. Number one problem at this organization is backstabbing and dishonesty is the main thing. These guys will lie through there teeth and only protect and promote people who suck up and brown nose, etc. Doesn't matter how good you do your job....if you don't "play ball"... you're toast. The pay is terrible for the about of work you do, and they make promises they can't keep. They claim they can't pay for OT because they are a humble non-profit, but they demand that you work it.
