Pros

Getting paid, and punching out

Cons

I'll be honest here. I was looking for more experience coming out of college trying to get my foot in the door working at an Aerospace manufacturer with the hopes of eventually working for a Boeing or Northrup Grumman. You do learn a lot about manufacturing, CNC, etc however you will not have much to do and little power to influence any decisions. The pay is low (18-23 per hour) Overtime is time and a half, and benefits are bad. Management is riddled with nepotism because its family run, and is abusive to you if they don't like you and if you do anything about it I've seen them show people the door. Also they may give you 2nd shift or 3rd shift hours, or a combination of both. Their offer will also be non-negotiable. Company is extremely cheap. I would only take this as a last resort and then jump ship at first opportunity.

Pros

Wonderful place to work. Large enough to have good company benefits yet small enough to have a friendly comfortable work setting and feel apart of a team. Nonetheless apart of a family owned company. The company has continued to grow and expand and has plenty of room to do so. This provides opportunities to move up the ranks and allows the ambitious to carve out their own roles in a growing company. The founders Bob and Judy are still regularly on site and have active rolls in the company giving the company a united front from management to each individuals role.

Cons

I think all the negatives I have read on Glassdoor have been resolved. Not to sound like I’m kissing anyone’s butt I’ll explain. I believe all great and even good companies have to start out with a very driven very ambitious core. As everything we do as humans the beginning usually starts with a lot of failures and new companies can’t afford this. Patriot has made it through many trials and tribulations(as is my assumption from reading other Glassdoor reviews) however the company is in a very stable position now. I really have no complaints. My days at Patriot are usually very good. Enough routine that I feel comfortable but also a good bit of unique work that I feel challenged and learn and enjoy the days.
