Pros
Someone there to answer all your questions at any time. For the most part the people working there are nice and easy to get along with.
Cons
Take advantage of people's flexibility with their work schedule. Most staffs are flexible with their work schedule but when something needs to be changed right away the company will make it so you have no choice but to go with the schedule they have set up. No stability with work schedule. Training hours for new workers are not nearly enough especially if they will be placed in a site with low-functioning consumers. Supervisors typically work 60+ hours every week plus additional time for administration work. Only given 120 PTO hours every year and that's not even enough to cover 2 weeks of a supervisor's scheduled hours. If you work as a support staff be prepared to have an unstable work schedule. Your schedule will revolve around your consumers' so if you're scheduled to work at 2pm and your consumer is not home until 6pm you will not begin work until 6pm. If you work as a supervisor be prepared to give up a lot of things in your life because at the end of the day you might not have a life outside of work anymore.
