Pros

This company has a really nice work culture. The company values documented on the website are not just for show, they are applied internally as well, from the top to the bottom of the hierarchy chain. Nice benefits. The company grows and innovates, plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. Amazing colleagues to work with, everyone is genuine, friendly and willing to help. There is no toxic work environment. The upper management is always open to suggestions and feedback and act upon accordingly.

Cons

As a customer engineer, the only downside I can think of is the workload, if you are someone who doesn't enjoy a somewhat fast-paced work environment and the responsibilities that come with a customer-facing role. Career opportunities are somewhat limited at the moment, but the company grows fast. I'm sure they are just around the corner.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It's great to hear you're enjoying the work culture and that our company values are genuinely practiced here. We recognize that the fast-paced environment can be demanding, not just in customer-facing roles like yours but across the entire company. For those considering applying to Patch My PC, it's important to know that this fast pace is the norm here. It drives growth and learning opportunities, but it can be challenging, especially if you're not comfortable with a dynamic and high-energy workplace that is still evolving processes :). We appreciate your feedback on career growth and the need for clearer paths. One of our next big focuses as a company is enhancing our career journeys and performance management frameworks to create more clarity for team members. We're excited about our rapid growth, which is creating plenty of opportunities for career advancement within Patch My PC. We're actively working to define better career paths within the company, ensuring everyone knows what opportunities are available. Our goal is always to provide growth opportunities within Patch My PC first, as we're committed to helping our team members achieve their career ambitions here. However, if a team member's goals can't be fully met within their desired timeline, we also want to support them in finding the best path for their professional growth and overall life improvement, even if that means exploring opportunities elsewhere. Our purpose is to improve lives, and that commitment extends beyond our organization. We believe in supporting our team member's journeys, wherever they may lead, to ensure they find the best fit for their personal and professional growth. Thanks for being a part of our team and contributing to our positive culture. If you have any suggestions or need anything, feel free to reach out. - Justin Chalfant

Pros

Leadership is genuinely engaged and invested in my growth. I’m constantly learning and evolving, which has been such a refreshing change of pace. My team is fantastic. Thoughtful, kind, and incredibly supportive. I’m really enjoying my time here so far. I stay busy, but I’ve been able to make a meaningful impact, and that’s been incredibly rewarding. The benefits are really strong and thoughtfully designed. A truly comprehensive Total Rewards package. The culture here is really unique and something I really appreciate! Very much looking forward to growing my career with this company.

Cons

We are growing quickly, which can sometimes mean shifting priorities and evolving processes. If you prefer highly structured environments with everything fully built out, this may feel fast paced at times. We are remote - so you have to make a conscious effort to connect, but PMPC also gives us real opportunities to connect in person (Annual All-Company Summit!)

Pros

I had recently retired from a large software company after 30+ years of service. I wasn't sure if I was done working but I knew that chapter in my life was done. The things that I had loved about my previous company were long gone. Customer obsession, showing empathy (especially to employees), and humility, to name a few core values, were no longer part of the company culture. Work was no longer fun. It had become just a job. I can honestly say that this was the only scenario and company for which I considered coming out of retirement and pursuing. The leadership team models & lives our core values day-to-day. This has created a culture where employees are empowered to do their best work. I definitely have a passion for the solutions that we build and the lives that we are able to change but how we do it has been the most refreshing to me. Work is fun again.

Cons

I'm not sure I have run across any to date. We're fully remote and flexibility is valued. Maybe a con is not joining PMPC sooner?

Thank you for taking the time to write this. Coming out of retirement after 30 plus years to join Patch My PC is a huge compliment, and I do not take that lightly. I really appreciate how you described what changed at your previous company. It is a good reminder of what can get lost when companies scale, and it is exactly what we are trying to avoid. Customer obsession, empathy, humility, and staying grounded are not posters on a wall for us. They have to show up in how we lead and how we work together every day. I’m also glad work feels fun again. That might sound small, but it is not. Life is too short for a place that drains you. Thank you for being here and for helping us keep our culture strong as we grow. Also, the “not joining sooner” line made me laugh. Justin Chalfant
