Pros

Healthtech is insanely interesting, and being able to work on something that really makes a difference for patients is very motivating.

Cons

The entire foundation of the company is dysfunctional. The fact that the company has had 10+ CEOs, 4+ CFO, and 3 completely failed COO, and one CTO between founding and 2021 should say something about the culture. There are no formalized processes. Every department is siloed with little to no collaboration between department managers. There are basically two decision-makers. Either the founder or his half-brother (the CBDO). None of them have any area of expertise and don't listen to expert advice. The founder, who wants to control everything, is out of touch with the rest of the company and everything is in complete chaos. There is little legal supervision and no interest in making world-class software. The only KPI that really matters is MRR, while the NPS is way below the industry standard. The culture is as such that several employees have been told off when choosing family instead of working overtime. The culture is destructive, indifferent, and with the illusion that employees are the most important to the company.

Pros

Fun, young people around. Good, innovative product in a growing industry. Good office location and lunch program. Growing due to acquisition strategy.

Cons

High turnover (e.g. 2 CEOs in last 6 months, Sales and marketing directors quit, and much more), chaotic atmosphere, impulsive decision making, losing a lot of money every month with individual owner as main creditor. Norwegian govt itself is main competitor when public health practitioners are main market. Often dishonest to customers about pricing and strategy or changes without warning. Bad reputation in market: Just search "Melin" in trade publication Dagens Medisin or look at the comments by Doctors in the closed Facebook group for primary care givers in Norway. Doesnt treat employees well. HR officer quit in protest. Danish owner favors Danish employees. Likes people who say "Yes" and follow orders without question. No work/life balance.
