Pros

Client Roster, they have a lot of really good clients that are well known in the industry

Cons

When I first started here, I was a bright-eyed eager twenty something that wanted to make a splash in the advertising world. I had heard great things about P+N (it was essentially the advertising mecca in Rochester, NY) I was responsible for being the liaison between the client and the internal creative team. I was managing inboxes, leading calls, all while eagerly trying to learn about the ad industry and the creative process as a whole. I quickly learned that this experience was not what I had in mind... There were a few 'shock moments' for me. The first of which having to do directly with my boss. I'm a pretty easy-going person, and I would say that I get along with pretty much everyone. However, for some reason, my boss and I did not seem to click on any level. I was constantly being compared to my peers, and not in the way that could potentially be helpful. I would often leave work feeling very down on myself, like I wasn't good enough, or smart enough to be here. Another shocking moment for me, was how mismanaged the account that I was put on was. No one seemed to have any sort of idea how to manage this client. When I asked for help, I was never really given a straight answer. The previous account director seemed to have no idea really, either. P+N taught me what kind of boss I didn't want, what kind of colleagues I didn't want, and what kind of business practices I did not want to be a part of. Although my time there was short lived and very, very disappointing, I am thankful that I got to where I am because of that experience.
