Pros
There are 3 major pros at this company. It's worth noting that this company is difficult to describe without profanity (in a good way), but Glassdoor won't let me do that, so...use your imagination. 1) If you're legit, the CEO cares about you. He's running a business and not a charity, but he's generous with time off when you need it, rarely (never in my case) makes unreasonable demands, and is overall very kind and levelheaded. 2) The CEO kicks posterior when he has to. Client is full of BS? Buck them. Coworker not pulling his weight? Buck him, too. Our CEO specializes in knowing who to give the middle finger and who is a worthwhile partner, both in employees and clients. 3) Basically no meetings except with clients. Communication tends towards informal, flat, and efficient. I had one meeting in 2+ years. It was less than 10 minutes. This is emblematic of the no-bovine-excrement style of Parthenon; Parthenon doesn't sweat what doesn't need to be sweated.
Cons
Not a ton of opportunity for internal advancement after a few years. This may change, as the company is still young, but right now a Dev with 6+ years of experience might end up being underutilized. It's not a major failing at all, just a consequence of the structure of the company. They can also be a bit lax with internal communication. The boss knows this and is actually working on it with the help of a couple of people. He's trying very hard to avoid typical corporate overhead, but occasionally doesn't communicate that he thinks you kick posterior, even if he does. You kind of have to understand the way the CEO thinks in order to be comfortable here.
