Pros

Parra Consulting Group stands out as a family-centered organization where employees are respected, supported, and valued. Julio Parra leads with authenticity and care, creating an environment where people and performance both thrive. The company goes above and beyond by covering 100% of employee medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, and life insurance premiums. It’s rare to see a company so genuinely committed to employee well-being.

Pros

Parra Consulting is one of the best companies I've worked for in my career so far. I've been working in the DoD environment as a contractor for over 12 years now and have worked for Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, and Booz Allen Hamilton in the past. You're more than just an employee number and the owner understands that his people are very important. Extremely good benefits from 401k plans/contributions, health care/dental/vision, life insurance, and accidental/disability coverage. Competitive pay rates for your career field. Paid Government holidays.

Cons

Parra Consulting Group is a smaller company and therefore you need to know how to operate fairly autonomously. You will have staff support as needed, but you are expected to know how to accomplish tasks yourself as a professional and deliver support to your customers as needed. (I'm only listing this as a con as some people need constant direction and/or company interaction.) Limited vacation time increases - some larger companies provide more vacation as seniority increases. You need to have your finances in a row as if you are required to travel you will need to pay your own way prior to getting reimbursed. (You may qualify for a company card to overcome this.)
