Pros

Some great people worked there, only a few left. Remote work.

Cons

Unless you have worked at Groupon previously, you’ll never make it. The C-Suite would give you whiplash with priorities and ‘strategy’ shifting every other week which screamed desperation. Running out of money and they’re trying to offshore most positions to save the company. No financial leadership or controls over finance, so no surprise burning cash like crazy. Flying people in for meetings (internationally) every 6 weeks while we’re bleeding money. No investment in product/technology since there’s no money. There’s one guy running the product/platform and when he leaves there will be nothing left. Meeting heavy and they were all redundant. Culture was horrible. The ‘AI’ platform we sold to clients was a joke, it was archaic at best. Constant rumors about company running out of money for payroll.

Pros

Very few pros, WFH priority is nice.

Cons

Unfortunately this is just a business that is in a bad market. Fractional talent isn't taking off like what was promised during the most recent fundraising rounds and revenue/cashflow is taking a serious hit. Sales quotas are way too high and are punitive if reps are unable to hit them. The entire outbound sales team + leadership was let go. People are being demoted from managerial positions to day-to-day sales people as part of a "all hands on deck" charade. HR and product teams have been halved, and I'm sure there are more cuts on the way after the physical office gets shut down at the end of the summer in order to stop the bleeding. There's not training, support, or understanding when it comes to career progression or professional development. Company meetings have been consistently cancelled or pushed so that people can't come together and actually talk about what's happening. What was maybe once an exciting company outlook has completely vanished. Would not recommend trying to build your career here.
